The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honored this year's Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon on February 7, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Sixteen of the 19 nominees in the acting categories were among some 113 nominees from 24 categories who gathered at noon for the traditional pre-Academy Awards fete when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honored this year's Oscar contenders.

From the Leading Actor and Actress categories Don Cheadle, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, Jamie Foxx, Annette Bening, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Imelda Staunton, Hilary Swank and Kate Winslet attended. Cate Blanchett, Laura Linney, Virginia Madsen, Sophie Okonedo, Alan Alda, Thomas Haden Church and Morgan Freeman represented the Supporting categories.

Four of the five nominees from the Directing category - Clint Eastwood, Taylor Hackford, Alexander Payne, Martin Scorsese - were in attendence.
