Steve Broidy
Steve Broidy

The Steve Broidy papers span the years 1947–1972 and encompass 0.4 linear foot. The collection consists of financial and business papers from several companies in which Broidy was an investor, including the Elmsford Drive-In Theatre, Star Drive-In Theatre Corporation, Normandy Theatre Corporation, and Moulin Productions. The latter helped finance Moulin Rouge (1952) and Moby Dick (1956), and the collection includes financial information about those two films, particularly Moulin Rouge. One scrapbook contains clippings and photographs covering a 1955 Allied Artists nationwide tour in which Broidy participated. There is no information about Broidy's career at Monogram, nor about his years as an independent producer.

Gift of the Broidy family, 1991.
