The Lester Cowan papers span the years 1923–1980s (bulk 1930s–1950s) and encompass approximately 72 linear feet. The collection contains production files, correspondence files, subject files, and scrapbooks. Productions represented include Commandos Strike at Dawn (1943), G. I. Joe (1945), Ladies in Retirement (1941), Love Happy (1950), Main Street to Broadway (1953), My Little Chickadee (1940), One Touch of Venus (1948), Tomorrow the World (1944), The Whole Town's Talking (1935), and You Can't Cheat an Honest Man (1939).
