The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented its annual Scientific and Technical Achievement Awards February 18, in Beverly Hills, California. Actress Rachel McAdams (front row, center) hosted the black-tie presentation dinner. In addition to eleven Technical Achievement Awards (certificates) and six Scientific and Engineering Awards (plaques), Gary Demos (front row, second from left) received the Gordon E. Sawyer Award (an Oscar® statuette) and Don Hall (front row, second from right) received the John A. Bonner Medal of Commendation.
