The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented its annual Scientific and Technical Achievement Awards February 10, 2007, in Beverly Hills, California. Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal (front row, center) hosted the black-tie presentation dinner. In addition to eight Technical Achievement Awards (certificates) four Scientific and Engineering Awards (plaques), and one Award of Commendation, Ray Feeney (front row, far right) received the Gordon E. Sawyer Award (an Oscar® statuette) and Richard Edlund (front row, far left) received the John A. Bonner Medal of Commendation.
